Papertrey Ink 9th Anniversary

it has been a while since the last time I joined card making challenge. I dared my self today to submit these 3 cards below. One of them is #saturdaysnailmail.

I am not so happy with the quality of the pictures. But it is already late and I have to go to bed. Tomorrow is another big day for me. My routine CT scan… Hope for the best this time.

Timer Challenge PTI

Hiii!!!

Finally I dare to take cardmaking challenge again. This time it is from my favorite paper crafting supplier: Papertrey Ink. They are celebrating their 7th anniversary this year and planning to post creative challenges. The first challenge I join in is their very first “Timer Challenge”.  I had 7 minutes to grab 7 ingredients and create a project within 17 minutes. Indeed not easy, especially when I had to choose ONLY 7 supplies. So, here it is…

DSC03859 DSC03860I thought of using only 1 type of paper and decided to not take the complimentary dies, because I needed 1 more ingredient to finish up my card. So, I cut out the flowers just with scissors and therefore could use some pearls. I am happy with the result.

Supplies:

Solid Card Stock:  Oatmeal Cardstock (Wplus)
Stamps: Bigger Blooms (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Chesnut roan (Color Box), Green Hills (Hero Arts), Summer Sunrise, Hibiscus Burst (Papertrey Ink)
Miscellaneous: white pearls

Case Study Challenge #145

Hi there!

Oh my… it’s already Friday. Time flies and I had another busy week as end of kids’ school term nears. There were more activities outside school lately. Outing, fun projects, preparation for farewell party, etc. But today, I finally had time to organize a bit of my ink pad collections. I managed to make new Color Swatch. This was fun! I will post this one later. Now it’s time for Case Study Challenge Card!

Below is the new challenge from this week’s Muse, Lisa Spangler.

CS145

A beautiful card with white embossing background. I was thinking… shall I “case” her with the same idea? Typical me… I like to search for other possibilities, but still using the same inspirations. So, today I made 2 cards with embossing on the background without using embossing powder.

I used embossing folder and the letterpress technique. I colored the embossing folder with Hero Arts Shadow Ink Soft Cantaloupe and I am very happy how it turned out. Here are the supplies to make this card:

Supplies:

Solid Card Stock:  Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, White Cardstock (Papertrey Ink).

Pattern Paper: North Country (Prima), Splash (Echo Park).
Stamps: Heart-2-Heart #11 (Papertrey Ink)
Dies: Circle Scalloped & Circle Dies (Spellbinder), Small Hearts Dies set (SSS)
Ink: Onyx Black (Versafine), Chocolate Chip (Stampin’ Up), Soft Cantaloupe (Hero Arts)
Miscellaneous: White ribbon (PTI) and Herringbone Embossing folder (Cuttlebug), dimensional stickers.

Since I had fun with the first card, I decided to make another one:)

Almost forgot to mention… I plan to send the first card for Maddy. Still have to think what to write to her.

Case Study Challenge #144

Hi all,

Just a short note. I had a busy week that I had no time to make a single card. Finally, this evening I could bring my youngest love one early to bed, so I could make 2 cards for the next Case Study Challenge. I love the cards Lisa Spangler made. They are so pretty and the colors are great! Also all the cards from Case Study Team are wonderful. Very inspiring. Now, it is my turn to share my cards with you. Thank you for stopping by….
